Fossil hunters and nanotechnology
Abstract:
Another group of researchers (at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology) is charging into the futuristic realm of nanotechnology but basing its effort on the school's expertise in mined materials.
Instead of the expensive, atom-by-atom assembly of materials that many nanotech scientists are trying, the school is focusing on turning mica and other Black Hills minerals into materials with unique properties.
