Danish Nanotech Pioneer moves to Silicon Valley
Posted on September 28, 2006
Innovation Center Denmark and Atomistix A/S invite you to the Atomistix housewarming at their new Silicon Valley location.
Atomistix is a leading provider of software solutions for development of nanotechnology. As the first company of its kind, Atomistix has pioneered a system of integrated software modules based on quantum theory - the Atomistix Virtual NanoLab - that accurately calculates properties associated with electron distribution and transport, and simulates experiments with integrated nanoscale systems. The software is a unique tool to understand, predict and visualize electronic processes in atomic and molecular structures. The software offers competitive advantages to nanotechnology scientists and engineers by developing materials and designing products with radically new properties and functions.
Atomistix is employing world leading experts in the field, and is now offering its expertise in atomic scale modeling to companies in the Silicon Valley.

Speakers:
Challenges in modeling of nanoscale systems
Kurt Stokbro, PhD
Co-founder and Executive VP Business Development
Dr. Stokbro has published more than 50 papers and review articles in international journals, held a large number of lectures as invited speaker and organized 3 international conferences in nanoscience. The TranSIESTA method, developed by Dr. Stokbro and co-workers, has become the de facto standard for electron transport calculations and laid the foundation for Atomistix A/S. He also serves as associate professor Copenhagen University.
The fast growing market for atomic scale modeling software
Thomas Magnussen, PhD
Co-founder and CEO
Serial successful entrepreneur with corporate management experience from leading companies with up to 200 employees and $100 million turnover. Acquired his basic business experience at IBM and NCR.
