UK Trade & Investment and UK Micro and Nanotechnology Network (MNT) Announces Deadline for UK Exhibitors at World’s Largest Nanotechnology Event UKNANO @ TOKYO 21-23 February 2007

Posted on August 21, 2006

UK companies have until 8th September 2006 to compete for 16 places on the UK pavilion at Nano tech Tokyo 2007.

The UK Pavilion will be grouped into 4 key strategic themes and companies are invited to submit application for one of these 4 categories:

  • Bionanotechnology
  • Healthcare
  • Nanonmedicine
  • Nanomaterials Fabrication & Integration
  • Metrology & Standards

The 16 successful applicants will receive an exhibition support package, free of charge, including a dedicated presentation pod for presentations within the branded UK pavilion, business development support from Embassy officials as well as PR and marketing support.

Speaking about nano tech Tokyo Andrew Cahn, Chief Executive UK Trade & Investment said:

“The Tokyo nano tech conference and exhibition attracts the largest attendance of any nanotechnology focused event anywhere in the world with especially strong representation from Asia Pacific, as well as Europe, USA and Australia.”

“Successful British applicants will benefit from strong branding, while, for visitors, the UK will present a logical and dynamic story. Our presence will encourage both inward investment in the UK, including joint venture activity and exports from the UK.”

MNT Associate Director Julie Deacon commented:

“A presence on the UK Pavilion offers the greatest opportunity to connect with potential buyers of nanotechnology developments, products and services from around the globe and most importantly from Japan, where nano materials, nanoprocesses and nanomedicine applications are in great demand. As we have demonstrated from successful presence over the last 2 years, the calibre of visitor guarantees the potential of genuine business opportunities.”
