Meeting magnifies importance of microtechnology
Abstract:
The microscope is so widely recognized as an instrument of scientific inquiry that it's often used as a logo to depict an organization's research bent. But regardless of the microscope's broad and long-standing familiarity, the technologies behind the instruments are constantly changing, as was abundantly clear last week at Navy Pier, where Chicago hosted Microscopy and Microanalysis 2006, the world's largest gathering of micro-enthusiasts.
