Incredible lightness of strength
Abstract:
A joint team from the National Research Council Steacie Institute for Molecular Sciences (NRC-SIMS) in Ottawa and the University of Sherbrooke has perfected a large-scale production method that combines expertise in laser science with a process called "inductively couple thermal plasma technology." Production costs with the new NRC method are less than $10 a gram, and will drop even more once a mass production facility is completed, notes Mr. Bourne.
