Dr. David Lemberg, Executive Producer of "Science and Society" announces the show schedule for Wednesday, 06/28/06, 1PM to 2PM Pacific.
Of particular interest to Nanotechnology Now readers are interviews with:
- Dr. Annalisa Crannell, Associate Professor of Mathematics, Franklin & Marshall College
- Dr. Marcel Just, Professor of Psychology, Carnegie Mellon University, and Dr. Tom Mitchell, Professor of AI and Machine Learning, Carnegie Mellon University
- Dr. Elaine Chew, Assistant Professor, Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, USC Viterbi School of Engineering
Dr. Crannell will discuss VIEWPOINTS, the Mathematics and Art Workshop, writing for mathematics classes, and topological dynamical systems.
Dr. Just and Dr. Mitchell will discuss studying the neural basis of the architecture of cognition (the research can be applied to people with autism and children with reading problems), machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Chew will discuss mathematics and music, and the Expression Synthesis Project, which using a driving interface so that non-musicians can create a musical performance.
