Dr. David Lemberg, Executive Producer of "Science and Society" announces the show schedule for Wednesday, 05/10/06, 1PM to 2PM Pacific.
Of particular interest to Nanotechnology Now readers are interviews with:
- Dr. Arnie Miller, Paleontologist, and Professor and Head of the Department of Geology, University of Cincinnati
- Dr. James Tour, Chao Professor of Chemistry, Richard E. Smalley Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology, Rice University
- Dr. Steve Olson, Senior Research Engineer, Aerospace Mechanics Division, University of Dayton Research Institute
Dr. Miller will discuss evolution, paleontology, and the history of biodiversity, as well as the Paleobiology Database, a public resource for the global scientific community.
Dr. Tour will discuss his new motorized version of the nanocar, a programmable structure containing less than 200 atoms.
Dr. Olson discusses structural health monitoring on current and future air and space vehicles, and the types of damage these smart systems will be able to detect.
