Hawai'i Develops Next-Generation Nanocomposites
Abstract:
Using carbon nanotube (CNT) forest-grown ceramic fiber cloths, nanotechnologists in the College of Engineering at the University of Hawai'i (UH) at Manoa have developed a multifunctional nanocomposite material. In their research, Mehrdad Ghasemi Nejhad and his team demonstrate a novel approach in grafting highly aligned forest of carbon nanotubes on silicon carbide ceramic fiber cloths.
