PwC expert outlines impact of nanotech, RFID on health care
Abstract:
Nanotechnology operates at the atomic or molecular level, and could help to diagnose cancer and other diseases – right when they first occur. Nanotechnology devices could report the onset of cancer at the exact moment of molecular metamorphosis, according to the U.S. National Cancer Institute, and nanoscale devices could enter cells to interact with DNA and proteins, and even monitor cells. At the University of Toronto, research is being done into how nanostructures’ size and morphology are affected by entry into cells.
