Nano-Based Image Sensor Enables Pictures without Flash
Abstract:
"We have successfully developed nano image sensors that can function identically as the retina cells of human eyes. We have achieved this by creating thousands of electrons with a single photon through the application of quantum mechanics," said Dr Hoon Kim, chief technology officer at Planet82 and director of Nano-scale Quantum Devices Research Center at KETI.
