Luna nanoWorks Sell Unique Carbon Nanomaterials

Posted on March 13, 2006

Luna nanoWorks announces the availability of its exciting new class of carbonaceous nanomaterials. Luna’s new composition of matter, called a Trimetasphere™; (M3N@C80), is a fullerene sphere enclosing three metal atoms in a nitride molecule. The entrapped metals provide unique physical, chemical, thermal, magnetic, biological, optical and electronic properties that differentiate them from other carbon nanomaterials. For example, the carbon sphere in Trimetasphere™; carbon nanomaterials are stable at temperatures hundreds of degrees above that at which empty cage fullerenes would be destroyed.

Luna’s exclusive Trimetasphere™ carbon nanomaterials are now available in four species for purchase. Group B III and lanthanide atoms, in C80 fullerene cages, including Sc3N@C80; Lu3N@C80; Y3N@C80 and Er3N@C80. Order online at www.lunananoworks.com or call 1-434-483-4195.
