Nanotechnology and Society: In Synchrony?
Abstract:
Is nanotechnology a speeding train that is leaving the public and their understanding at the station? What are some of the potential future impacts of nanotechnology on society as a whole? What are the ramifications of rapid commercial development before our knowledge of the environmental and health effects and development of adequate safeguards for workers and consumers? Is the groundwork being laid for wide-spread public backlash which would stifle nanotechnology’s growth?
Registration deadline is Friday, March 10 at 5:00 PM Central. To register, please send an email to Deepika Misra dmisra@winstead.com with your preferred attendance location.
