Dr. David Lemberg, Executive Producer of "Science and Society" announces the show schedule for Wednesday, 02/15/06, 1PM to 2PM Pacific.

- Dr. Douglas Arnold, Director, Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications, University of Minnesota
- Dr. George Bekey, Gordon Marshall Professor of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, University of Southern California
- Dr. Joseph Moerschbaecher, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans
Dr. Arnold discusses interdisciplinary mathematics, developing cockroach-like robots, and developing numerical methods to simulate black hole collisions and gravitational radiation.
Dr. Bekey discusses the future of robots in society, human-robot cooperation and communication, and robots as partners in a variety of tasks. Also, Dr. Bekey speculates on whether the science-fiction scenarios of robot “take-overs” are possible.
