Explosion expected for nano
Abstract:
"By 2015, half of the new products will be made with nanoscale science and engineering," Roco said. The number of people involved in nanotechnology research or business, he said, is ballooning. In 2000, when the National Nanotechnology Initiative was formed, there were six groups involved. That number has grown to 24. "We have about 4,000 active projects in more than 500 universities," Roco said. "We have created 52 large centers and networks, and one of these is here at Purdue."
