Many scientists would agree that nature is the best architect. But few have attempted to borrow natural processes to build inorganic structures. That was Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor Angela Belcher's goal in founding Cambios Technologies Corp., which is developing techniques to create "biomorphic" structures measuring millionths of a meter in size using a range of materials.
