Conductance measurements highlight DNA mutations
Abstract:
Researchers at Arizona State University, US, have come up with a simple electrical technique for detecting DNA mutations. The team measured the conductance of the molecules using a scanning tunnelling microscope (STM) to find single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) - changes in a single base pair in the DNA.
