Lessons from a 22-year-old nano startup
Abstract:
Nanotechnology may be the latest buzzword for today's venture capitalists and economic developers, but when Warren Oliver got into the business, the rest of the world was pegging, perming, punking and just getting used to the idea of a personal computer.
Then a researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the founder of MTS Nano Instruments sold his first machine to his employer in 1983, and a business was born.
