Nano-oscillators get in sync
Abstract:
Researchers at the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Hitachi San Jose Research Center, US, have found that they could synchronize the phase of microwave emissions from two nano-oscillator devices that were 500 nm apart. The findings could have applications in shrinking the size of microwave transmitters and receivers for wireless communications.
