Open-and-Shut Hollow Nanoparticles
Abstract:
Researchers at the University of Washington in Seattle have developed what appears to be a general method of creating hollow polymer nanoparticles with large pores. These pores can be used to fill the nanoparticles with drugs and other materials, such as quantum dots, that have proved difficult to load into nanoparticles made by other means.
