Multifunctional Nano Device Delivers Silencing RNAs to Cells
Abstract:
Using a multifunctional, hollow nanoparticle, a research team at Hokkaido University in Japan has developed a means of delivering small interfering RNA molecules (siRNAs) to cells, blocking the production of a targeted protein. This new nanoscale delivery device could provide a boost to efforts aimed at using siRNAs to shut down cancer-causing genes.
