VC View: Nano Opportunities, Right Now
Abstract:
Norm Wu: It is clear that interest in nanotechnology is skyrocketing. Widely proclaimed as the "next big thing," there are perhaps two to three conferences on nanotechnology each week – at least fourteen this September alone.
Sadly, the financial investment community at large has yet to embrace nanotechnology. While corporate representatives looking for strategic alliances at the NSTI conference were plentiful, there were only a handful of VCs in attendance – despite the fact that there were an amazing 55 start-up companies presenting.
