Seeing light-emitting diodes in a new light

Abstract:
A collaboration between Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories scientists has resulted in a new the development of the first completely inorganic, multi-color light-emitting diodes (LEDs) based on colloidal quantum dots encapsulated in a gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor.
