Arsenal, base avoid the ax
Abstract:
Tony Gaetano, the group's president, shared the credit with the Albany NanoTech initiative at the University at Albany.
Military officials were told Albany NanoTech and Benet could work together to build next-generation weapons. Nanotechnology could help develop new coatings used on the cannon made at the arsenal, for example.
"The Army would be absolutely crazy not to keep Benet and the arsenal going," Gaetano said. "Everybody in the country can talk about what they're going to do with nanotechnology. We can demonstrate it."
