Mayor eyes tech sector
Abstract:
Mayor Stephen Mandel is poised to ask city council to help set up a venture capital fund. "We think it would be $25 million to be invested over a four- or five-year period," Mandel said yesterday. "It's not going to go into big oil companies. It's strictly to promote the industries that we're trying to develop here - which is biotech, nanotechnology."
