Nanotechnology hasn't yet hit it big
Abstract:
For all of the buzz about storing data as atoms and manipulating molecules as bio-sensors, the economic impact of nanotechnology in Western Pennsylvania so far can be measured in nano-dollars.
If the science of the small is to hit it big, local economic development officials say, it will require infusions of research and development money, followed by seed capital for technology commercialization.
