Rationing resources through fed's drought
Abstract:
The National Nanotechnology Initiative faces its first budget decrease ever. Federal funding for science and technology research and development in general remains flat. And a program that small and big businesses alike consider a catalyst for getting innovation into the marketplace will be nixed in President George W. Bush's proposed 2006 federal budget.
The National Nanotechnology Initiative is expected to get $1.05 billion in 2006, about a 2.5 percent decrease from 2005.
