Small tech firms start to think big
Abstract:
Years of painstaking research and development may be about to pay off big for many of Michigan's "small tech" companies as they begin to take their products to market. Their innovations range from engine fluid sensors that can minimize the amount of time trucks are off the road for maintenance to a cancer treatment that could one day result in a cure for the disease.
Nearly half of the 75 or so micro and nanotechnology firms that belong to the Michigan Small Tech Association have already started selling products or are on the verge, association director John Bedz said.
