Rssn academician calls for state regulation of nano-technologies
Abstract:
Absence of a clear government regulatory mechanism in the field of nano-technologies may bring about to a complete failure of that extremely promising branch of the industry in Russia, Nobel Prize-winning academician Zhores Alfyorov said at a roundtable conference in the upper house of Russian parliament.
“By 2015, the use of nano-technologies in all spheres will have a crucial role in the economy, technology and science in Russia only if tough regulatory mechanisms are developed now,” Dr Alfyorov said.
