Nanotechnology in BioDiagnostics and Analytics (NBDA) Conference

March 17, 2005

The European event for academic, industrial, and medical scientists and decision makers to discover the state of the art in biodiagnostic and analytical tools and techniques.

1. Diagnostic platforms
How nanotechnology is impacting array platforms, including the use of immobilized nanoparticles and label-free methods to enhance detection of biomolecules from minimal starting materials.

2. Imaging and Molecular Diagnostics
The use of nanoparticles for solution diagnostics, advances in real-time intracellular analysis, and medical imaging.

3. Characterisation of Biological Structures and Processes
The use of novel tools such as SPM to investigate biomolecule interactions in situ, and thereby improve our understanding of cellular dynamics, and biological life-cycles.

4. Sensors
The integration of new technologies to provide real-time detection of biomolecules or organisms, with applications for LOCs and point-of-care devices.
