Abstract:
The Museum of Grenoble, Grenoble, France, 29 and 30 June 2005
The European event for academic, industrial, and medical scientists and decision makers to discover the state of the art in biodiagnostic and analytical tools and techniques.
1. Diagnostic platforms
How nanotechnology is impacting array platforms, including the use of immobilized nanoparticles and label-free methods to enhance detection of biomolecules from minimal starting materials.
2. Imaging and Molecular Diagnostics
The use of nanoparticles for solution diagnostics, advances in real-time intracellular analysis, and medical imaging.
3. Characterisation of Biological Structures and Processes
The use of novel tools such as SPM to investigate biomolecule interactions in situ, and thereby improve our understanding of cellular dynamics, and biological life-cycles.
4. Sensors
The integration of new technologies to provide real-time detection of biomolecules or organisms, with applications for LOCs and point-of-care devices.

Submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentations
Please submit your abstract (maximum 400 words), stating your preference for an oral or poster presentation (please note that participants can elect to give both, however there are limited speaking slots available). Authors who submit an abstract will be expected to attend the conference and present their data.
The deadline for submission is Friday 22nd April.
Abstracts should be submitted in MS Word format (Times New Roman 12 pt used throughout, with title in bold), listing all authors responsible for the work, all affiliated institutions, and with the corresponding author and contact details clearly identified.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the organizing committee and authors notified of the status of their submission by 20.5.05.
