Professor uses $564,000 grant for atomic research
Abstract:
The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded a $564,000 renewal on a federal grant to a Western Michigan University physics professor, who will lead a team of WMU students on an atomic research project.
Nora Berrah and her team of students will continue to work at both WMU's campus and at the Advanced Light Source (ALS) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California during the next three years to better understand the interaction of matter, such as atoms, molecules and negative ions.
