How new fields in science can improve farm output
Abstract:
Knowledge in the new fields of nanotechnology, genomics, bioinformatics and space applications will be useful to improve sustainable agriculture production and protect ecosystem functions, State Governor Surjeet Singh Barnala has said.
While inaugurating the three-day interdisciplinary dialogue on nanobiotechnology and its implications on food, health and nutrition security in Chennai yesterday, the Governor said scientific and technological advances in the 21st century would result from research investments in both traditional agricultural fields and in frontier science and technology.
