Abstract:
International household goods company seeking experts in the field of nanotechnology.
A large, international household goods company is seeking experts in the field of nanotechnology to be a part of advisory body. The company seeks expertise in different aspects of the nanotechnology world as they relate specifically to fields of interest.
The company’s business interests lie in the fields of consumer products and span a wide range of categories. These can be loosely grouped as follows:
The company feels that the unusual properties of nano-scale materials have the potential to enhance products already produced and perhaps to be the basis of new consumer goods. A sample of areas where nanotechnology is thought to have potential is as follows. This is not an exhaustive list:
The company is open to forming working collaborations with external individuals, companies or institutions to develop expertise in this area and to help us develop superior consumer products using a nanotechnology approach. However, we will use experts in the field to guide us on strategic questions and to help in solving specific problems that might arise.
Responses are invited from individuals interested in assisting in this way. Particularly encouraged are responses from those who have broad experience in nanotechnology particularly related to the applications mentioned above. The following abilities are desirable:
Respondents should provide an outline of their background and expertise, their location and willingness to travel internationally and a brief statement of why their expertise and experience would be beneficial to the company.
