Fullerene full of promise, scientists say
Abstract:
Fullerene — a form of carbon that is classified as an organic superconductor — has jumped from the status of a curiosity of physics to a marketable product as University of Toronto researchers begin to sell a new form of organic light-emitting diode.
The recently discovered carbon nanomaterial is an integral part of OLED displays created by U of T Professor Zhenghong Lu and patented by the University of Toronto Innovations Foundation.
