SWNT Nucleation and Growth Mechanisms

Abstract:
NASA Johnson Space Center and the Rice University Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology invite you to the workshop on: "SWNT Nucleation and Growth Mechanisms."

The purpose of the workshop is to develop a better understanding of SWNT growth mechanisms. The workshop will bring together world experts to present various aspects of SWNT growth and production, based on experiments, theory, and modeling. Currently, no one has sufficient understanding of the growth mechanisms to be able to translate this into better production methods. It is hoped that through this scientific exchange and publication of a workshop proceedings, knowledge will be synthesized and give researchers and developers the insight necessary to develop efficient and commercially viable SWNT production methods.
