New Journal is 'Sci-Fi' Reality
Abstract:
Medicine of the future may come in doses the size of an atom, slipping through the tiniest opening in the membrane of a cell to fix what's wrong inside -- perhaps setting off a self-destruct program in a cancer cell or repairing the damaged chromosomes in another.
Now, a San Antonio engineer is helping to launch a professional journal aimed at magnifying the field. Nanomedicine: Nanotechnology, Biology and Medicine will debut in March.
