Q-Dots for Cancer
Abstract:
Finding cancer sometimes requires a lot of grueling procedures. As this ScienCentral News video reports, scientists are taking the first steps towards what they hope will become a more direct cancer diagnosis using nanotechnology.
Scientists led by cancer specialist Shimon Weiss are using tiny semiconductors called quantum dots, or Q-dots, to identify tumors as well as study the inner circuitry of cancer cells.
