State Nanotechnology Investments Determine Jobs, Economic Uplift
Abstract:
In the U.S., states invested more than $400 million in nanotechnology research, facilities and business incubation programs in 2004 -- on top of greater than $1 billion in federal government spending -- making nanotech the largest publicly-funded science initiative since the space race. A Lux Research study ranks the 50 states on their ability to develop their economies through nanotechnology, based on 16 criteria.
