Plank is a finalist for top science prize
Abstract:
Squalicum High School senior Karl Plank is one of 40 finalists in the Intel Science Talent Search, the most prestigious national high school science competition.
In March, Plank will present his nanotechnology research to judges in Washington, D.C. The top prize is a $100,000 scholarship. As a finalist - the first from Washington since 2000 - he's guaranteed a minimum prize of $6,000.
