Biodesign Institute to pioneer life-enhancing innovations
Abstract:
Imagine a world in which devices you wear can monitor your health and dispense medications as needed, packaged foods alert you if it has spoiled or prosthetic limbs controlled by the brain produce natural arm and leg movements for spinal cord injury patients.
Those are some of the ambitious goals being pursued by faculty and students at the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University in Tempe.
