State colleges majoring in construction
Abstract:
Building boom: Institutions are using state-of-the-art facilities to attract top talent, but some worry the costs are too high.
At least 16 new faculty have been hired in the nanotechnology area alone. One of them, professor Tim Sands, said the promise of new facilities -- specifically the Birck Nanotechnology Center now under construction -- helped lure him from the University of California at Berkley.
