2nd Annual Keck Futures Initiative Conference
Abstract:
November 18-21, 2004. Among the 14 "Grand Challenges" that the event will address are:
• Build a nano or micro system that can effectively multiple and isolate RNA or DNA in a picoliter-volumes, low concentration solution.
• Build a synthetic self-replicator.
• Build a system that will detect disease in vivo and report results.
• Design a cellular or bacterial factory to create hydrogen from seawater.
