Nanoscience and megamillions
Abstract:
According to Sandip Tiwari, director of the Cornell Nanoscale Science and Technology Facility, the technology that allows nanoscale research to happen is a collection of approaches, a "tool kit" of defining and assembling materials.
"For example, for defining, we now have very reproducible ways of getting 50 atoms across patterns on the surface, such as by an electron beam lithography tool," Tiwari said.
