Panel explores scope of nanoscience
Abstract:
Since President Clinton's announcement of the National Nanotechnology Initiative during a visit to Caltech in January 2000, scientific and engineering disciplines across the nation have engaged researchers in the science of the infinitesimal.
... as the burgeoning field progresses, policy-makers and scientists are also working to ensure that proper precautions are in place to protect humans and the natural environment from unknown consequences.
