Molecular Imaging focuses on nano-level life sciences
Abstract:
Atomic force microscopes (AFMs) allow scientists to peer at the nano world. Up until now, however, AFMs have largely focused on academic research. Tempe, Ariz.-based Molecular Imaging Corp. is working to expand that focus and open doors to other research markets, including nanotechnology and nano-level life sciences.
The firm’s desire to delve into markets such as life sciences has been accelerated in the last decade by the development of the Arizona Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University (ASU), the school that gave birth to nearby Molecular Imaging (MI) in 1993.
