IEDM preview: MEMS move into new 'nano' roles
Abstract:
At this year's International Electron Devices Meeting, to be held Dec. 13-15 in San Francisco, an evening panel will debate whether the top-down world of microelectronics, now transitioning to nanoelectronics, can win out over the bottom-up approach of building up to the nanoscale from the atomistic level. In addition, three IEDM sessions dedicated to MEMS will delve into such topics as technologies and applications; organic thin-film transistors and devices on flexible substrates; and image sensors and biosensors.
