Bar Codes To Identify Disease?
Abstract:
When the lab gets your blood, the sample is examined for either protein or DNA markers that are considered signatures of a particular disease. Now, nanotechnology is refining the search. Chad Mirkin, PhD, nanotechnology expert: "It turns out that if you take any material and shrink it down to nanoscopic dimensions, it will have new properties."
