UC-Run Lab Projects Collect Seven Coveted Technology Awards
Abstract:
Seven scientific developments at UC-run labs garnered some of the technology world’s most coveted awards this week. Two Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory projects, the world’s smallest reported synthetic motor and a new energy-saving window. Berkeley Lab’s physicist Alex Zettl directed the development of the world’s smallest reported synthetic motor, called a synthetic rotational nanomotor, a contribution to nanotechnology that can manipulate voltages and drive things on a molecular scale.
