Tech Science Out on a Limb

Abstract:
The world is full of good ideas to make computers faster, better, lighter, safer and more efficient. But only a few will make it past the lab and into next-generation computers. From organic computer memory cells to super-nanocapacitors, many of the most promising lines of research involve molecular scale technology. "Molecular scale technology is replacing conventional scale technology as everything is squeezed into ever smaller dimensions," Lawrence Goldberg.
