A Small, Small World
Abstract:
Murat Okandan's world of clean, slick, high-tech computers and semiconductor fabrication machinery is slowly transforming into something new. Across town, Jeff Brinker's world of chemicals, beakers, glove boxes and low-tech centrifuges is doing the same. The two scientists - a Sandia National Laboratories engineer and a University of New Mexico chemical and materials expert - are witnessing a scientific revolution that is merging their vastly different fields.
