Smart paint will map the house

Abstract:
Home renovation will take on a new meaning sometime in the next decade thanks to nanotechnology. Slapping on a coat of paint will do more than spruce up home sweet home, embedded devices undetectable to the human eye will turn it into a wise home, says Carl Masens from the University of Technology, Sydney. Why wise? Because the home will do things with the information it collects. There is big potential in nanotechnology, says Masens, who runs the Nanohouse project for UTS and the CSIRO.
